About Us
Serving God by serving others
Global Action International is a partnership of people whose mission is to make a difference in this world.
We combine humanitarian relief, educational & medical assistance to the hurting and oppressed.
We want to inspire hope and enhance human potential so they may live lives of achievement and service regardless of ones religious faith, belief, ethnic origin or background.
Our founder, Dwaine Lee, served in ministry for 60 years. During that time he visited over 100 countries and saw a great need to help suffering children.
In order to help, he made friendships with people. He got to know the local churches and orphanages. Most importantly, he developed relationships with supporters like you.
Dwaine loved to encourage others and bring out the best in them. People loved being around him. Supporters around the world wanted to join him to provide hope for children in need.
Our newsletter and blog are called The Encourager. Dwaine used the newsletter to send out inspirational and uplifting messages to our supporters, as well as to Christian leaders around the world.
We are thankful for everyone who has joined us. We could not do this without you.
This partnership of people continues to change lives around the world.
Since 2021, Joanne Lee has served as President of Global Action International.
As a co-founder of this charity, she has been at the forefront of guiding its vision and engaging with partners around the world to meet the needs of children in need.
Joanne has a particular passion for orphans and refugee children and brings her years of expertise to promote new opportunities to share God's love with these children and to help them rise and thrive.
Rev. Dwaine Lee
Founder, Global Action International
Our founder, Rev. Dwaine Lee, had a passion for God and a commitment to serving the poor.
After pastoring for over 30 years and traveling to more than 100 countries, he founded Global Action International in 1995 and Children's Christian Lifeline in 2010. His goal was to help make a direct impact in the lives of the hurting, vulnerable, and sick.
Rev. Lee passed away in 2021, but his vision lives on through our dedicated volunteers, generous supporters, and the thousands of children served by this ministry.
I believe the following scripture to be the backbone of our commitment to make a difference in the world,
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8).
Just as the first Christians started out by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to local believers and then branched out to neighboring communities and other nations, we share that commitment today.- Dwaine Lee
