The dictionary defines integrity as "the state of being complete, unified". When I have integrity, my words and my deeds match. I am who I am, no matter where I am or who I am with.
This is integrity -- doing things right when no one else is looking.
We stand on solid ground. There are no skeletons in the cupboard that can come out to destroy us. We live with a clear conscience.
A person with integrity does not have divided loyalties, nor is he or she merely pretending. People with integrity have nothing to hide and nothing to fear.
The more credible we are, the more confidence people place in us, thereby allowing us the privilege of influencing their lives. The less credible we are, the less confidence people place in us and the more quickly we lose our position of leadership.
Remember, leadership functions on the basis of trust. Integrity is a victory, not a gift.
"The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them."
Proverbs 11:3

It is amazing how much wisdom can come from a children's book. "The Empty Pot" is a beautiful story about the importance and rewards of integrity and honesty. Watch here
